Fully SEC certified schools, childcare facilities or workplaces can use the online membership to recertify their employees from year to year, provide safe trainings to new hires or refresh trainings for existing employees. Membership lasts for a full calendar year and includes 24/7 security support from our experts, additional security materials, and an SEC certification for your website and marketing materials.

What training courses are available through the eSEC Membership?
Critical Incident Response Training
Taught by one of SEC’s Secret Service veterans, this easy to navigate training course is the backbone of SEC membership and can be completed at your staff’s convenience from their own computers. Videos, readings and regular quizzes give your staff security fundamentals so they can respond during an emergency situation.
Admins can track how much of their staff have completed the certification, ensuring occupational safety and security are being prioritized and followed. This training includes primary emergency response protocols- lockout, lockdown, evacuate and shelter-in-place; tips for securing physical spaces and best practices for identifying threats.
De-Escalation Training
This training specifically addresses the ability to reduce the intensity of a conflict or a potentially violent situation. Key objectives include how to recognize verbal and nonverbal warning signs of increasing aggression; how to build a rapport; how to manage your emotional reactivity and how to communicate effectively. Our goal is to teach individuals how to handle intense situations with the priority of keeping everyone involved safe.
Workplace Violence
Training includes the origins of targeted workplace violence, the motives and the behaviors to be aware of. Participants will learn how to practice situational awareness and the four main response options during emergencies – evacuation, shelter-in-place, lockout, and lockdown. In addition, our team will provide an interactive discussion on common physiological responses that occur during emergencies, as well as strategies to combat the potentially debilitating impact of those responses.
How does it work?
SEC strives to empower organizations of all sizes with the best safety and security training available. There are two options available to access our eSEC membership:
- Your organization can purchase the annual eSEC membership, which includes all (3) training courses and additional resources listed below. SEC will provide the secure platform to host these courses, as well as individual log-ins and credentials for all of your employees.
- If you have an existing learning management system, the eSEC courses can be purchased as individual SCORM-files and added directly into your software.
